How SAVD handles your data

What we collect

Using SAVD involves the following information:

• Your email address, used for account creation and sign-in (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase)
• A username and optional display name, if you set them
• The games you add to your library, their status (played, playing, want to play, dropped), and your ratings
• Your Favourite Four game selections, if you choose to set them
• Your Gaming DNA - a taste profile calculated from your ratings and library
• Your public profile content (username, display name, Favourite Four, Gaming DNA), only if you explicitly choose to make your profile public

How it's used

This information is used only to provide SAVD's own features: maintaining your library and ratings, calculating your Gaming DNA, and - only if you turn your profile public - showing your Favourite Four and Gaming DNA to other people at your public profile link. Your exact ratings and full library are never shown publicly, even when your profile is public.

Infrastructure we use

SAVD is built on the following third-party services, each of which processes data as necessary to provide its part of the application:

• Supabase - hosts our database and handles authentication
• Vercel - hosts the application itself
• IGDB / Twitch - the source of game metadata (titles, covers, genres, release years) used when you search for and add games
• Resend - sends account emails (sign-up confirmation, password reset)

Data retention

Account and application data is retained for as long as your account remains active. During the alpha, account deletion is handled manually on request. When an account is deleted, the user data controlled by SAVD is removed, except where limited retention is necessary for security, legal, or technical reasons. Infrastructure providers may retain backup or log data according to their own retention policies.

Deleting your account

There is currently no self-service account deletion. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at the address below and it will be processed manually.
